Port Dickson - my first loonngg drive
Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Am back from our PD trip.

And I had my share of driving. Went 160 km/h. Thank goodness I didn't let ayah know that I drove. My dad would have killed me before I ended up twisted behind my own wheels.

Talking bout the car, haiz.. yet another accident happened last Friday. A lorry decided to kiss Foz's big butt. Now my whole bumper kena tukar. Don't know it will cost $2000+. Thank goodness I didn't accept any money from that driver. He wanted to give me 20 or 50 bucks at first, then raised it to a hundred. So I just laughed right at his face, since I thought he was out of his mind. haha.

Tiara Beach Resort was not bad. The room was huge and it faces the lagoon. Spent my time swimming and also doing the fish spa. The fish spa, was kind of a waste. I refused to put down my legs for the first 10 minutes as I couldn't stand the ticklish feeling. And when I felt okay after some time, there were only few miserable fishes near my feet. Waste duit betul.

So the whole trip ended up ok. Though at first I wasn't quite excited, more of worried. This trip was decided on like a week before we set off and we didn't have any reservation. And I decided to be a biatch to Love the whole trip. Amazingly, he was extremely patient. And everytime I was about to blow up or be an A-S-S, he would calm me down or tried to cover up for me so that nobody noticed. That, i have to thank him. I was losing my mind, worrying about so many things throughout the journey.

And after everything was more settled, I apologised to him. And he went, " You memang gitu. You tahupun you salah. And you chose to be 'high maintainance' at M'sia and not when you were at Vegas and LA."

tsk tsk tsk

Anyway. congrats to Faizad and Syida on the newest addition to their family, baby Ashraf (i think that's how it's spelled). Such a cutey. And I am glad you love the Baby Kaed bag. =)

Here comes his Big B
Monday, January 19, 2009

So the man got his Big B and decided to treat the wifey. We went to Siam Kitchen, my first time there, after which we watched 7 pounds. It was simple and sweet. Little did I realised that there were more to come .

So the other day, he brought me to town. He told me that I could indulged myself in good shopping. His reason - I have been a good wifey and he didn't missed mak's cooking at all when the parents were away. lolz.. So there I was, dragged from Tiffs' to LV, to Burbs to Di and then to Chanel. Yet I couldn't find anything that I wanted him to spend his money on. There are certain bags and shoes I am eye-ing of course, but I have my own Bonus and savings. I could have gotten them myself this year, only the matter of when. Seriously, I can easily get him to spend his 7.8 on The 2.55, if I wanted to. After all, he was that persistent.

So I told him to go treat himself badly, and I suggested something which I think, any other wifey wouldn't have suggested i.e get a kick-ass bike. As much as Love thinks it is a selfish suggestion (since I can use the Foz all to myself), on my part, I hope that before he grows old-er and hit 40 and then comes the sudden realisation that he couldn't possibly be doing this and that and riding kick-ass bike would have been one of them, well, that wont be an issue. lolz. Then again, he knows us better. Having me around, mid-life crisis - he won't even know what that means. heh.

So thats it.. I am all set on Love getting a bike, provided he pimped up our Fozzie first, money in the bank is more than good and when he feels ready to leave Foz in lil wifey's good hands. I bet the last will be the most difficult thing for him. haha.
And......... since I am after all The wifey, he still thinks I deserve at least an LV for school. Okay lah... takkan lah tak boleh. I'll splurge my money on something else then.
Settled

Your husband is sorry

School has started and I am loving my Timetable. Only 4 hour lessons on Mon and Tues, a free day on Wednesday and 2 hour lessons on both Thursday and Friday. Gerek ah. The only downside is that it'll last for 7-8 weeks only. hur hur

The other day, Love and me had this conversation on why people would splurge for their kid's birthdays. He mentioned that most probably because celebrating your kids' birthdays is one of the few things people look forward to, every year, once they are married. That's true. But about splurging. I'm unsure. I wouldn't say I won't ever end up like that. More likely I would spend within my means, insya Allah, and not neglecting spending on important stuffs like the little one's education, health, insurance and savings.

Talking bout education, it has been another boggling issue. All those early education, how true is that? All I could remember what my parents did with us, their children ,was giving assessments to do and go through the answers and corrections together. Even that started when I was like 5 years old. Way beyond that (not as early as one,two or three), were just picture books and encyclopedias being read to me. Nowadays, there's flash cards and such, and whatever other methods people claimed useful. Honestly, I don't know. I don't want to end up doing something which I don't believe in, that is, doing things simply because many others are doing so. But then again, I don't want my children to somehow lose out because of me.

I told my mother how I felt about this and she advised me to follow what they did, but with a little extra. Haha. Looking at how kiasu parents are these days, the little will end up like a whole lot more huh?

Thank goodness it takes two heads to make decision on that. And I like the fact how we complemented each other well, especially in decision-making, as most of the time, we have conflicting ideas and yet we come to a decision which is a mixture of both of ours. To add to that, the funny moment (or what-i-always-look-forward-to moment), is when things got a little tense, and we ended referring to each other's opinions as "yours, not mine".

Time well spent =)

On the eve of the new year, we had a simple supper at Teh Tarik JW. And since I had not been seeing all of the Swiss gals for so long, I bet I was the most excited one. hahaa. Supper was gratifying. And plus, it was the first time I left my hubby behind late at night. haha. Baby was cool bout it, plus, he stayed up til I came home too, which is around 1ish. =) So yup, I have to thank both the Swiss gals and Baby for the memorable night. Hopefully, there'll be more to come.

Btw, my mil and fil are back! Alhamdulillah...
I was surprised to see bapak lost weight. I have to admit, right there and then, I saw a glimmer of hope in fighting off the late Haji Idris big genes. And mak, she's glowing. I like her tan and her new dyed hair. Makes me wanna go red head too. bah..

We had a kenduri on 1st Jan itself and another one today. All I can say is Hellllooooo good food. Haiz, glutton me. :P

I've been noticing that I can get so tired and exhausted easily these days. I wasnt sure if it was because of the preparation for fil and mil to come back and aftermath of kenduri, that is, cleaning the house or because my anaemic has kicked in again. Urgh.I am just not ready to see doctor. The thought of them taking a test tube of my blood sends chill down my spine. But I know I have to get this anaemic problem fixed (provided if I am anaemic), especially since I'm trying to conceive.

To add to that, I've another problem in my hand : I've been gobbling in more food than I used to. So much for wanting to lose weight. I've still that extra one kg to shed and even that was close to impossible. *pouts*

Anyways, school will be starting soon. Not that excited though. Maybe a little from looking at my timetable. Honestly speaking, I am worried of THE practicum. I hope everything will go on smoothly. Insya Allah.
In the meantime, I need my movie and Haagan Daz treats. *looks hard at Love*
